Peruvian Opal & Diamond Ring

  • Total Stones: 28
  • Total Carat Weight: 2.72
Peruvian blue opal is relatively rare and is only found in the Andes mountains near San Patricio, Peru. It is a very translucent stone with color similar to the Caribbean Sea. It is also the national stone of Peru and this Custom Peruvian Opal & Diamond Ring contains a stunning example of this material in a 10mm faceted round stone. Surrounding the opal are 27 diamonds and the ring itself was created using Continuum sterling silver, which is by far the hardest sterling silver ever developed. This metal has over 95% silver content vs typical 92.5% and is considered a hypoallergenic metal, as it contains no nickel. The best thing about Continuum sterling silver is the superior tarnish resistance compared to other sterling silver alloys.
